Meet the creative: APPLEOAK FIBREWORKS

Our second feature in our spotlight feature is @appleoakfibreworks! Each meraki mailout box contains 5-7 products from small, UK sustainable, independent businesses (yes we like to be multifaceted here!) Every product is paired with a task to get your creative juices full and flowing! 

Who are AppleOak FibreWorks and what do you do?

"We are AppleOak FibreWorks, a natural Dyeing Company. We dye Yarns and fabric using only natural dyes."

 

Why did you start your business?

"To bring Natural Dyes back into the Fashion Industry and educate people of their importance."

 

Why is creativity important to you?

"It keeps me sane :)"

 

What is your favourite thing about creativity?

"Definitely Excitement, I am very impatient and can't wait to see the final creation!"

 

 

How often are you creative?

"In my job I am creative every day"

 

Give an example of when you have you been faced with a problem and creatively fixed it

"Our entire workshop is built on creativity. We wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise."

 

 

Top tip on how to get creative inspiration?

"Pinterest and Art galleries"

 

What are some creative practise rituals you do?

"I wish I had time for that! I stir dyes instead :)"
